
When Mark was in his 20s, he decided to join the Territorial Army, and he regularly found himself on the shooting range at Bisley, competing as a member of the TA shooting team. What appears to have happened is that the powerful recoil of the gun, constantly bruising his right cheek, left permanent broken blood vessel and capillary damage. As time progressed, the area of his cheek became more visible, his Rosacea worsened.
"It felt a bit like someone pinging an elastic band at me. It was not unpleasant, just slightly uncomfortable - but there's no gain without pain as they say!
I'm now very happy that it's been sorted out once and for all. It's been on my mind since I was in my 20s and it really didn't help my self confidence as a young lad.
