A minimum of six treatments as the vessels have to be addressed on different levels.
With the combination of nutritional therapy and IPL our clinical outcomes are extremely positive. The Pulse Light Clinic attributes this to experienced technical expertise in the use of IPL combined with close nutritional monitoring during the course of treatment.
Reduction of flushing after an average of 3 IPL Rsacea treatments.
I think its best if you come in for a free consultation so the nurse can take a look at you and will then be able to explain better what it is that is causing those spots and how to treat it without having to go back on the antibiotics. If you are interested in coming in for a free consultation just get in touch with us and let us know what time and date is best for you and we will book you in for that.
The answer to this really depends on the severity of the case, but as a guide, a typical case of facial rosacea might take roughly six treatments, and need top-up treatments every six months there after.Improvements will be noticable from the first treatment.
Is there any relevance to the number of treatments required in relation to the number of years the person has had Rosacea ??
The condition is obviously worse the longer the person has had time to develop veins. A few broken veins on top of the usual flush is easier to handle within the 6 treatments than a face full of a well developed venous network, where a “rogue” network underlying the superficial veins, has had time to develop.
Not too much. It feels a little bit like being flicked by an elastic band.
Typically three weeks is enough time to wait between treatments. It can vary depending upon skin type.
IPL can reverse the harmful effects of rosacea that have built up over time. It will take changes in diet and lifestyle to stop your rosacea returning. In many people rosacea slowly returns, although we know a lot about how to slow it down.
I have come to the conclusion that (since Sheila told me she noticed people with Rosacea who follow tea therapy have a better response to IPL), getting onto a nutritional balancing programme before they reach mid-way through their 6 IPL Rosacea treatment sessions favours a faster outcome . . . . is this true for the clinic too ??
Definitely.
Yes IPL can be used to treat broken capillarys near the eye area.
Is there any data the clinic can provide that helps the Rosacea sufferer make the decision to sign up for IPL Rosacea treatment?
All the available scientific research data on how light affects blood vessels both on the surface of the skin and with the application of the correct wavelength, the eradication of the vessels under the surface of the skin.
No its best if you wait untill after you've had the baby and then wait untill your hormones have settled for a couple of months before you have your treatment.
Are a high percentage of people coming for IPL to treat Rosacea doing so because their Rosacea has worsened in the previous 6 months or are there just as many who reach when they have just been diagnosed ??
Most come following an acceleration of the condition.
Yes they can both be treated at the same time and different filters would be used as nesicary.
Im afraid not as the wave length used for hair removal is different than that used for treating Rosacea or broken capillaries.
Hi. I am Chinese, I've post acne scar, combination of skin type but towards oily skin on my T zone area. I've blackheads & a couple of black spot v tiny at moment, I'm hoping to achieve a much clearer, clean & even skin tone & been wanting to ridden off my blackheads, is IPL the treatment to opt for to achieve what I wanted ??
Yes, the best thing to do would be to come in for Microdermabration which gets rid of the first layer of dead skin cells, and then after the Microdermabration have your IPL treatment as you would then get the best results for what your after.
I have been diagnosed with mild rosacea about 2 and a half weeks ago and i'm taking a course of antibiotics which i understand i will probably have to take for about 3 months. Since this time i have developed what i would call 2 nodule things, is this normal and will the antibiotics clear these up? Also i think my nose looks bigger now that i've got rosacea, will this go down with antibiotics? Also would you please put my mind at rest that this is not rhinophyma because from what i understand this develops when severe rosacea is left untreated over a long period of time. Thanks for your time in answering these question appreciated.Vicky
I think it would be best for you if you came into the clinic for a free consultation where the nurse will be able to take a look at your rosacea and advise you on what would be the best way to handle it. Its deffinatly not rhinophyma as this is something that men get, however rosacea can change the tissue format in the nose for both women and men and the way to treat this would be to handle the broken veins/capillaries. The antibiotics would lessen the rosacea but it wont get rid of it. If you would like to come in for a free consultation just get in touch with us and we will book you in for whatever time is best for you.
Hi there, Could you please tell me which IPL machine you use? Secondly....I am interested in treating ocular rosacea, I have been able to control my rosacea treatments under the guidance of Professor Chu of the hammersmith hospital in London....However my ocular rosacea only continues to worsen dispite contually using treatments which do help... I am very hesistent to use IPL around my eyes, but I believe this is the only way for me to get control of my ocular problems. Therefore I was wondering (I don't mind paying) would it be possible for you to do a test patch in the delicate eye area? I would not like to jump in a treat around both eyes. Can you target the inner socket of the eyes? i.e. where the eyes join the nose. I have read it is very important to treat this area. Thank you in advance for your time. Kind Regards, Mark
|
Hi Mark, Yes we do treat around the eye area and yes thats fine for you to come in for a free patch test. You might also want to consider coming in for a free consultation so the nurse can take a look at your rosacae and from that she will be able to have a better idea on what sort of treatment you will need aswell as haveing your patch test and our IPL machine is called Lynton. |
Is Rosacea treatment is it suitable for black skin ??
The treatment works with black skin, but it can be more difficult, because the dark pigment also absorbs the light. Results will depend largely on what sort of treatment you are having (melasma, rejuvenation or rosacea). We would always recommend you have a free consultation.
It is possible to treat this in as few as three treatments, but it really depends on the severity. A single treatment can cost from £100 to £300 depending upon the size of the area being treated. Please submit a photo direct to the clinic on our "contact form", for a more accurate answer.
Hi, could you please let me know whether you do crystal or dimond type microdermabrasion.
We are now using the new Bio-Hydroderm which creates a new standard in Microdermabrasion. The technology we use for microdermabrasion uses the AQUAFUSE solution which hydrates, plumps and treats the skin, this new technology also delivers a
Hi, Do you do free consultations? I am not far from Fenchurch St so was just wondering if it would be worth me popping in for a consultation first to understand the benefits?
Yes we do do free consultations and i think it would be worth coming in for one as you will then be able to talk to the nurse who will be able to answer any questions you may have and she will also be able to look at your skin and advise you on what the best treatment would be. If you would like a Free Consultation please get in contact with us and let us know when is the best time for you to come in and we will do our best to book you in for that time.
