Hi everyone on here
I had recently found The Pulse Light Clinic after bothering to do some proper research on Rosacea… it’s only taken me 10 years! Keen to hear of any similar experiences you may have so please feel free to comment after my blog but I wanted to make sure I can help others in a similar situation, so have taken the time to put my experience in writing. I am a 31 year old male.
I have spent my teens through my twenties battling with flushing, easily induced redness, irritation and worsening rosacea symptoms over the last decade. I had just put it down to ‘sensitive skin’ and battled on as I knew best. During this time I had spent much time having treatments at a multitude of skin laser practitioners and beauty clinics offering IPL and the like.
Often going with whoever offered me ‘the best deal’ as I was either studying & finding the condition debilitating especially the prolonged flushing during exams and I subsequently was on a limited budget earning a low graduate wage & having to spend it on the high-cost of London life, so these treatments were an ultimate luxury even though they should have been a necessity and as you may also know are not offered on the NHS.
None of these treatments I had had done or the beauticians who conducted were able to achieve any noticeable results and my condition would always occur with vengeance within weeks… however I just kept throwing money and time at it, like an empty pit! That’s where the vicious cycle and my Rosacea Rollercoaster began…
It was only 4 months ago I finally resided myself to the fact that I had symptoms of Rosacea and luckily found a reputable clinic in London, the important thing I have learnt is explanatory in their name The Pulse Light CLINIC.
This is not a fl-by-night beautician operating from the basement of a hairdresser or beauty salon around the corner of my house, it is not a vast franchise concerned only with getting as many feet through the door as possible but is rather a CLINIC specializing in Rosacea and other treatable conditions too, however I consulted with them for my Rosacea & facial redness/veins.
They seem to have the most state of the art equipment, I noticed this not only from my experience of seeing many other machines in my years of having treatments but doing my own research and that coupled with the way and speediness in which my skin heals immediately with no bruising within a couple hours post treatment and the experience of the staff concerned who conduct my sessions, Sheila, who did my treatments, is a qualified Nurse.
I receive a stronger and more effective treatment than was ever administered by any of the other 'mickey-mouse' clinics I had visited prior, probably achieving the same results after 6 sessions with them as I would receive after only one with The Pulse Light Clinic!!! ...As you can gauge I am really frustrated I had not found the guys at The Pulse Light Clinic Sooner!?! ...that is why I am letting you all know who may be reading this.
My Rosacea had always returned or the vessels come back to the surface in the past during in the weeks/month following my IPL treatments so it feels as though I am chasing my own tail, what the knowledgeable staff at The Pulse Light Clinic have done is provide all the support and understanding in order for me to start managing other triggers and a change in my lifestyle including personal stress which is a huge trigger, my diet & carefully analyzing products I use on my skin.
After just a few appointments (early days) but that coupled with the great advice I have been given and downloading some of the support information on this website regarding diet etc. has seen a remarkable improvement, this really is a CLINIC, the liberating thing is after all these years it is only now and with Sheila and at this CLINIC that I am given these new found tools! AMAZING!!! I seriously believe managing Rosacea/skin breakouts... redness or flushing is 40% yourself and 60% mechanical/IPL or what a clinic can offer so to anyone reading this you have to put in the leg work too, but let me tell you the results achieved so far are worth shouting about! I have read similar posts by others on here so am really pleased to see that I am not the only one relieved to have found The Pulse Light Clinic and started a course of treatment!!!
I hope to keep you posted on my progress, maybe all I will need is another one or two treatments, for now I am having a break for the rest of the Summer as my condition is totally manageable after such a short period of time. Of course your cases may vary on here as we are all different but can at least be assured we are in very good hands! Hope to hear of your experiences too, SPREAD THE WORD!
Many Thanks!!!
Mark
