Many years ago I had very strong rosacea around and on my nose. My self confidence was on the floor. When I heard someone call me Rudolph, that pretty much put the nails in the coffin of my self esteem.
So several years ago I had a series of treatments. Initially the broken veins were targeted, which was great (who likes to see permanent red veins in the mirror). Then the deeper veins were targeted, and some of the feeder veins.
Sheila uses the IPL to focus and target a variety of veins at different depths, changing the IPL head, strength and focus settings. In essence the surface thread veins are feed by deeper tributary veins, so treating the surface veins only is very temporary.
I do not have rosacea any more, but 6-9 months after treatment I can see it starting to creep back (redness and maybe the odd tiny spot), at this point I will have nose and cheeks zapped.
I have just had two treatments (three weeks apart), as always the first treatment did not seem to do a lot, but after the second one, my skin has returned to normal.
I guess I will try and keep to a better diet, but in all likely hood I will forget about it until I see a few symptoms again.

Sunblock/Treatment
Hi Nicholas,
i have found your blog very useful and am about to start treatment. Can you recommend a natural sun-block product at all?
Thanks
