I have been diagnosed with mild rosacea about 2 and a half weeks ago and i'm taking a course of antibiotics which i understand i will probably have to take for about 3 months. Since this time i have developed what i would call 2 nodule things, is this normal and will the antibiotics clear these up? Also i think my nose looks bigger now that i've got rosacea, will this go down with antibiotics? Also would you please put my mind at rest that this is not rhinophyma because from what i understand this develops when severe rosacea is left untreated over a long period of time. Thanks for your time in answering these question appreciated.Vicky
| I think it would be best for you if you came into the clinic for a free consultation where the nurse will be able to take a look at your rosacea and advise you on what would be the best way to handle it. Its deffinatly not rhinophyma as this is something that men get, however rosacea can change the tissue format in the nose for both women and men and the way to treat this would be to handle the broken veins/capillaries. The antibiotics would lessen the rosacea but it wont get rid of it. If you would like to come in for a free consultation just get in touch with us and we will book you in for whatever time is best for you. |
