CoolSculpting is an effective fat freezing treatment that permanently destroys fat cells. Available at our London clinics for a safe, non-invasive alternative to liposuction.

How Coolsculpting Fat Freezing Treatment Works

Remove your unwanted fat cells with a tailored non-surgical procedure with our highest levelled trained CoolSculpting practitioners.

CoolSculpting is a great alternative to liposuction, with a non-surgical approach with no downtime needed. This treatment does not require any anaesthetic, time off work, no garment post-treatment or weekly massages like liposuction.

CoolSculpting | Fat Removal has no risk of infection as it is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure. Unlike other fat freezing/laser fat removal techniques, there is no need for diet and exercise as the fat cell walls are permanently destroyed.

Fat cells are something that most of us have to deal with on a regular basis, even with a good diet and healthy exercise regime certain fat cells just don’t seem to budge. Losing belly fat, back fat or even a double chin can at times feel out of reach.

CoolSculpting allows the fat to be frozen away through Cryoliposis and gets disposed of out of our body’s natural digestive process (through your pee). CoolSculpting uses this revolutionary discovery in a safe, effective and FDA approved way.

What to expect at your Coolsculpting consultation?

At your free consultation, the senior technician will assess the areas you are trying to treat and check your eligibility for the treatment by assessing the amount of pinchable fat you hold on the stubborn fat areas.

The senior technician will go over the recommended treatment/ number of applicators you require to get your desired results on your chosen body area for your CoolSculpting | Fat Freezing Treatment by taking account of your preferences for treatment and tailor this to your free treatment plan. At Pulse Light Clinic, we offer same day treatment as your consultation, so you don’t need to be put in a waiting list.

The Procedure:

The CoolSculpting hand-piece is placed over the area of the unwanted fat area to be treated and left for 35 minutes. During this time, you can rest, read, check your emails or even nap! While you relax the fat is being frozen, causing the fat cells to die and the body’s natural processes then flush out these dead cells, removing them from the area and eventually the entire body.

Follow Up Treatment & Consultation:

At your consultation, the senior technician will go through your body goals and transformation plan. Then at your first treatment, your photograph will be taken and documented in order to track your fat reduction journey and ensure you get the desired results.

The second photograph will be taken 6 weeks post-treatment, at this stage, you are able to have a second session if you desire. Your final appointment consists after 12 weeks where your photos and weight will be taken for the last time to give you a spectacular before and after.

FAQs

Does CoolSculpting really work?

Coolsculpt is the only FDA approved cryolipolysis treatment on the market. With over 70% reviewed journal articles to back up its efficacy. It’s one of a few fat reduction treatments that can statistically ensure up to 25% reduction in fat in the treated area.

Pulse Light Clinic, chose to work with Coolsculpt due to their proven track record of results, intense practitioner training program, great treatment protocols to ensure even results and client support system. Unlike other competitors, Coolsculpt is a Doctor-led treatment.

How long do CoolSculpting results last?

Results will last indefinitely, once the targeted fat cells are killed through the process of cryolypolysis. They cannot return.
However, consuming more calories than you expend will lead to the production of more fat liquid, which will cause the remaining fat cells to grow in size.

You may find if you gain a substantial amount of weight that other areas will hold more fat than they did previously. Inevitably, the fat needs to go somewhere! They good news is that if you lose the weight gained since your treatment the results will usually be visible.

Typically, clients that maintain their weight will maintain their results permanently!

Is Coolsculpting worth the money?

Compared with the other alternative of surgery, Coolsculpt is in majority of cases the most cost-effective fat reduction treatment. For the average client looking to remove stubborn fat tissue pockets, Coolsculpt will reduce these areas of subcutaneous fat by up to 25% (some clients will achieve much higher).

There is a minimal amount of downtime and no time is usually needed off work to recover. A gentle massage at home and continuing with exercise is all that’s needed.

Surgery (even abroad) will be an expensive alternative, with risks of infection to name but a few, but also recovery time and time off work. Lymphatic drainage massages will be needed frequently for weeks and special garments to be worn post procedure. Scarring is likely, even on minimally invasive treatments. However, for clients looking to remove a very large amount of fat, or substantial weight reduction, surgery may be the best option.

How many treatment do you need for Fat Freezing?

For CoolSculpting | Fat Freezing we recommend 1-4 treatments depending on the client. Most clients see great results after the first treatment.

This will typically be determined at your free consultation on how many treatments you would need.

The senior technician will always give you an estimate and personalised body plan for your problematic area.

Why wait 6-12 Weeks to see Fat Freezing results?

After you CoolSculpting | Fat Freezing procedure, the body naturally disposes of the unwanted dead fat cells.

This takes time as your body is busy processing and breaking down the fat cells through a procedure called Apoptosis - through which enzymes break down the cells into smaller pieces to allow for your white blood cells (macrophages) to remove them from your body permanently and this is why your body needs the time to adjust and reline the fat cells and contour your shape.

How does CoolSculpting | Fat Freezing work?

CoolSculpting uses the fat freezing technology from Allegan trademark of Zeltiq Aesthetics which is the only FDA approved nonsurgical fat reduction machine. Fat-freezing is an effective method of eliminating fat cells without the need for surgery or needles and with no harm done to surrounding tissue and skin.

How much gap is required between CoolSculpting treatments?

Individual treatment sessions in the same area should be scheduled from 4-6 weeks apart.

Is Fat Freezing, CoolSculpting Permanent?

Yes, CoolSculpting is a permanent solution to get rid of stubborn fat cells. The fat cells are crystalised and frozen through CoolSculpting treatment, they are destroyed naturally and gone forever!

Any remaining fat cells can still enlarge over time if weight is put on in the future and can therefore affect results, but typically if you regain the same weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) as treated your results will be visible.

What results can I expect from CoolSculpting?

An average of about 25% fat reduction is seen per treatment, and more than one treatment is recommended to see optimum results.

The final results are fully visible within 6-12 weeks, as the body uses this time to flush away the dead fat cells.

These results are permanent as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Am I suitable for CoolSculpting?

The ideal candidate for fat reduction with CoolSculpting is a client within a stone of their ideal or normal body weight.

The client must have enough pinch able fat in order to fit into the applicator.

We cater to a variety of sizes using different sizes of applicators from petite to large depending on the size of the fat and the area of the body. Obese clients are more suitable for liposuction due to the volume of fat they may hold.

We also cater to clients 6 months post liposuction to even out bad surgical procedures leaving pockets of unwanted fat.

Most clients are suitable for CoolSculpting, however, breastfeeding or pregnant clients are not suitable as well as clients suffering from severe Raynaud's disease (if you suffer this hands and feet is more likely you are still suitable for this treatment).

At Pulse Light Clinic we have an in-house doctor and nurse that will be there to assist you if you would need medical consultation before commencing CoolSculpting Treatment

Does CoolSculpting hurt?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical / non-invasive treatment which requires no downtime. You can easily come in during your lunch break and continue with your daily activities.

You might experience slight discomfort from the cooling sensation during the first 5-10 minutes and during the massage at the end of the treatment.

Are there any CoolSculpting risks and side effects?

Some usual side effects of CoolSculpting involve:

1. Pulling feeling at the treatment area.
The procedure includes cooling panels that will roll the fat of the body part are placed. This will cause the feeling of pulling throughout the treatment.

2. Tingling, aching or pain at the Coolsculpting area.
This is a common side effect, and they start shortly after the procedure up to two weeks after treatment. The cause may be the extreme freezing temperatures that the skin and tissue are exposed to.

3. Typical CoolSculpting side effects involve the below, all displayed where the treatment was done:
temporary redness
swelling
bruising
skin sensitivity
These are due to cold temperature exposure. There is a few weeks of downtime, and they will go away on their own.

4. A very rare but serious side effect is "Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia", where the treatment was done. It's not fully understood of this side effect and further research is required but the fat cells, instead of growing smaller, grow bigger. It's an aesthetic side effect and not a physically dangerous one; however, it doesn't go away on its own.

What not to do after fat freezing?

After your Coolsculpt procedure, it’s advised to stay hydrated try and avoid alcohol for a few days. This is because your body will be flushing out toxins that were stored in the fat cells and can otherwise cause you to feel ‘under the weather’.

It’s good to rest for a few days, particularly if you have had multiple areas treated or a heavily overlapped treatment area such as the abdomen, in particular, if you're treatment included ‘plus’ cycles. Walking and swimming can help, but running may be too uncomfortable.

Avoid any other treatments on the area for at least two weeks. EMsculpt can be beneficial after coolsculpt but speak to your practitioner first. For optimum treatment, HIFU and RF should be left for around six weeks to allow fat to have moved from the area.
