Laser Hair Removal Oxford Circus
Here at Pulse Light Clinic we recently opened our second clinic just around the corner from Oxford Circus. We have over 15 years of experience in the laser industry and masses of experience dealing with all varieties of skin and hair types. We own a variety of different hair removal lasers meaning that we can tailor the programme directly around you and what your skin needs. We deliver hair removal on all body parts for both men and women. We have two registered nurses on site and all of our practitioners go through rigorous training.
We are open six days a week and are open until 8pm on weekdays. We also offer same day free consultations and if you want to see client feedback then check out our rave reviews on Google Plus.
Laser Hair removal is the method of permanently removing hair by firing laser light into the skin which directly targets the root of the hair. The laser is attracted to the melanin in the hair follicle and it gets blasted by the light and thus destroyed. After each treatment a certain percentage of the hair will not grow back, and after a series of treatments you will be left smooth and hair free.
Laser Hair removal does not have any side effects, no rash and no ingrown hairs. It is a fast procedure and is available for all skin types, for both men and women and any area of the body and face can be treated.
Laser Hair Removal for Asian and Darker Skin Types
Laser hair removal technology has advanced far enough to make it now possible for Asian and darker skin types. Here at Pulse Light Clinic we have four different lasers suitable for Asian and darker skin, meaning that no matter your skin or hair type we will have something for you.
Over 50% of our clients have Asian or darker skin and so we are very experienced in dealing with a whole range of skin types. Our Soprano XL and NdYag lasers are particularly effective, even on the fine stubborn hairs.
An additional side benefit that we have seen many times on darker skinned clients is the huge improvement on unwanted skin pigmentations. These are often caused by ingrown hairs, especially on the face. So you can experience not only going hair free but also drastically reducing unwanted pigmentation and ingrown hairs.
Laser Hair Removal for Men
Laser hair removal is no longer just for men. Here in Oxford Circus about half of our client base is actually men. Hair removal is popular for men to shape facial hair, get rid of unwanted back or chest hair or reduce excessive hair on the legs or arms.
Due to the high quantities of testosterone in men, a slightly higher quantity of treatments is needed. An average would be eight treatments with four top up treatments later on.
If you are looking for hair reduction rather than hair removal then of course less treatments will be required, you and your practitioner will keep an eye on the re-growth and decide when you are all done.
How long does a treatment take ?
This will depend on what area you are having treated. Smaller areas such as the chin could be as little as ten minutes whereas something larger like the full legs would be about an hour.
How many treatments will I need?
This varies individually on the skin and hair type but an estimate would be between 6-8 treatments. At your initial consultation you can be given a more personal estimate.
How long a gap do I need between treatments?
You need to make sure that you catch the hair in an active growing phase. For the face this means spacing your appointments out every four weeks and for the body it is every six weeks.
What precautions should I take throughout my treatments ?
You need to be as close to your natural skin colour as possible so avoid tanning beds or too much sun exposure. The hair follicle needs to be in place for the treatments to work so don’t pluck, wax or epilate before or during your course of treatments.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my treatments ?
Before your consultation nothing. Before your actual treatments you are welcome to shave the area that will be treated, if you cannot reach or don’t have time then not to worry your practitioner will do that once you arrive.
