Nutritional Therapy and Food Intolerance Test
Our Nutrition expert, Lisa Borg, who has practiced Nutritional Therapy for 16 years, aims to assist clients with their immediate health difficulties using her tried and tested methods of approach. This involves an extensive health questionnaire or it may take several short questionnaires before it becomes apparent what is happening with the body.
Some clients may require functional tests such as food intolerance to confirm or rule out suspected underlying conditions, but not in all cases. By analysis of the information provided in the questionnaire/s, together with any relevant functional test results, Lisa is able to build a holistic picture of the individual and assess which bodily system is the common denominator of the majority of symptoms present.
Lisa develops dietary and lifestyle guidance and prescribes specific supplements to assist in rapid progress after your food intolerance test.
Skin and Digestive Health is Lisa’s main area of interest, as so many health conditions can be improved/eliminated by addressing this one area of health. Digestive disturbances are often the first warning signs one experiences before the onset of disease/ill health.
Prevention is always better than cure, and that is why Lisa is keen to help individuals who are experiencing changes in their digestive habits before disease begins. Other areas where Lisa has extensive experience are : Rosacea, Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, Melasma, Seborrheic Dermatitis; Blood Sugar Imbalance, Weight Loss/Gain, Joint Pain/Arthritis, Under-Active Thyroid, Infertility, Depression, PCOS, Stress, and Sports Nutrition. Follow-up consultations are only necessary where some symptoms remain unaltered. It is Lisa’s intention that follow-up appointments are not necessary, but in a few cases, it becomes so.
Lisa will analyse your results and contact you by email with her findings and recommendations. Lisa will send a full explanation of her findings and give instructions on how to proceed with eliminating any offending foods.
A follow-up consultation involves a review of all original symptoms, current diet, and supplement programme to assess the overall response to treatment, and development of further dietary manipulation and supplement recommendations. It is often found that where symptoms persist the client was unable to fully implement their programme or one bodily system needs to be addressed more intimately.
“The skin is a reflection of the digestive system” – Lisa Borg.
