Background and Approach
Dr Son qualified in Medicine (MBChB) at the University of Sheffield, where he also completed an intercalated degree in Biomedical Science with First Class Honours. He went on to complete his dental degree (BDS) at King’s College London, one of the UK’s most prestigious dental schools, making him one of the few UK-based practitioners dual-qualified in both Medicine and Dentistry.
Dr Son has worked extensively within Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery, in posts at King’s College Hospital, St George’s University Hospitals, the Royal Surrey Hospital and University College Hospital London. His surgical experience formed a foundation that has given him an unusually detailed working knowledge of facial anatomy, proportion and function.
That surgical grounding is what shapes his aesthetic work. Rather than treating features in isolation, Dr Son assesses the face as a whole and plans treatment around each patient’s individual anatomy and how it changes over time.
